Funds are available to provide loans up to 6% of the selling price of the home to assist with the down payment and closing costs needed to buy a home. These funds are available for purchasing homes in most of Tacoma south of 6th Avenue (check map for qualifying areas). The loans are for up to 20 years, with no interest and no monthly payments required during that time. The loan is due and payable if the home is sold during the loan term or no longer occupied by the owner.
